Correlation Module : Bulk Events

Solved78 views1 day agobulk Correlation Correlation rule

Dojo,

How does the Correlation module handle bulk events ? I have 20 alarms generated at the same time and qualify for immediate evaluation.  There is an action to run an automation script in the rule to do some parsing on the alarm.

Will the Automation Script be triggered sequentially for each alarm or will there be parallel executions of the script ?

This will mainly depend on the configuration of the script action in the correlation rule.

If when selecting the script name, one has enabled the checkbox "Wait for the script to finish before going on" (default), the scripts will run sequentially. If not, they will run asynchronously.

Asynchronous scripts execute in parallel, unless they are configured to take the same input script dummy (based on the "wait when locked or busy" checkbox).
