Following alarm storm could be seen

In the details I found that Cassandra on the backup DMA was down.
I restarted the service and now Cassandra is syncing with the main node.

The alarm storm is still there.
How can it be cleared?

Hi Jeroen,

An alarmstorm alarm can not be cleared. It should clear automatically when the alarms causing the storm are cleared and the number of alarms go below the configured treshold.

Hi Michael,

There seem to be 7011 source alarms that don’t clear automatically although the 2 nodes are accessible again.

What’s the best way to clear the source alarms?

Michaël Pincket [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 16th June 2022

Hi Jeroen,

The easiest way for this case would be to turn off the alarmstorm in the settings. Afterwards you will be able to clear the source alarms in the alarmconsole and turn the alarmstorm back on in the settings.

You can also open the alarmcard of the alarmstorm alarm and navigate to the source and clear them there. The disadvantage of this is that you need to clear them one by one.

Thanks, I did it the first way. It worked
Clearing 7000 one by one was not an option 😀
