I'm trying to change alarm colors, and I was able to do that following the documentation Changing the default alarm colors but the specific Timeout alarm, the default color 'Orange' still appearing in the cross Mark "x" 
which may cause confusion.
As workaround to remove the orange 'x' sign from the icon, I disabled the "use modern icons" with "Element alarm level" set to 'Separate from timeout', but it has impact on all the Surveyor display.
Is there a way to change the 'x' mark color to be synced with the alarm template?

A possible option (not ideal) is to remove the timeout for that specific element (more information in DataMiner Docs, see Include timeout).
Another option is to make use of Visual overviews to show the updated color for elements in timeout.

This feature allows you the icon of an element. However, the orange cross will still be displayed.
