Can you filter table data based on characters in the primary key in Visual Overview?

We have a situation where we are displaying the sensor temperature table in Visual Overview, but not all temperatures in the table are relevant; only a few with certain keywords in the primary key. Is it possible to filter the table data in Visual Overview based on certain primary keys?

Note: The picture below shows the table. We only want to see the monitored rows in Visual Overview.

Hi Aldrick,

In this case I believe you could use TableRowFilter (see DataMiner Help). For example, if you plan to include only the temperature for the sensors ‘FAN-side Sensor‘ and ‘PORT-side Sensor‘, you could define the shape data as follows:

ParameterControl: TablePID
ParameterControlOptions: TableRowFilter:PK_PID=FAN-side Sensor;PK_PID=PORT-side Sensor

where TablePID is the table that you would like to display in the overview and PK_PID is the parameter ID of the column parameter containing the sensor name (in your case the primary key)

You can dynamically filter a table so it only shows records that are in alarm. To do this, you can use the ‘ClientSideRowFilter’. As the name suggest this is a client filter while the ‘TableRowFilter’ is a server filter.

Element                                 *
ParameterControl                 96
ParameterControlOptions    ClientSideRowFilter:Severity>Normal

In the example above, every row that contains a cell that has a severity higher than normal, will be shown.

This is what it looks like for a ‘Task manager’ table:

Hi Aldrick,

yes, that should be possible.

Refer to DataMiner Help, you can make use of “TableRowFilter” in the “ParameterControlOptions” to filter out some rows.

Some examples are included in the Help.
