By default, they will be placed in the same view. This behavior can't be changed.

It's possible to use the drag and drop editing in your surveyor to move (or copy) them to a different view. They will remain there until the function resource gets disabled.

If you'd like to make sure your function resource returns to the same view when it gets activated again, you might want to have a look at  release note 28884
