Can multiple function files be used for the same protocol?

Hi,

We have a situation where some elements are running version 1.0.1.X of a protocol and others are running version 1.1.0.X of the same protocol due to firmware versions.
Since the protocol ranges are a bit different, some parameters don’t exist on both ranges or parameters might have a different ID.
Is it possible to apply 2 different function.xml files for this protocol? A function file for each range?
In case this is not possible, is the best way forward to only include common parameters in the functions file?

Thanks.

As far as I know this is not possible since you assign a function to a protocol. Not to a specific version of that protocol.
