Can I right click on a parameter and add it to an alarm/trend template?

Hello All,

Is it possible or can it be possible to right click on a parameter and add it to an alarm template.

For example, some of the parameters are very difficult to find. By right clicking on a parameter and adding it to an alarm template associated with that element would drastically reduce the amount of time to alarm. The parameter values can be set at a second stage.

Rgds,

Mark

Hi Mark,

If you double click on a parameter, you drill down to the parameter level view.  In that case you will find at the top the following tabs: DETAILS TRENDING HISTOGRAM TEMPLATES.

If you click on TEMPLATES, you can immediately choose to enable / disable monitoring on that metric, and configure the thresholds.  Note when you save that, you will have to choose whether you want to apply that to the current element only, or all the elements that are currently using that template. At the bottom it shows the elements which currently share the alarm template with the element that you are working with.

Isn't this what you were looking for?
