I have made some changes to Hyperlinks.xml file by adding a new HyperLink. As far as I understand, we have to restart the Dataminer agent to apply the changes but I was wondering if there are any ways to avoid the restart. Perhaps by using the client test tool?
And also, if the agent is a part of a cluster, do we have to restart all the other DMAs too? Thanks.
Hi Paul,
Closing and (re)opening Cube should be sufficient for the hyperlinks to be shown, no restart of the DataMiner agent is needed.
In a cluster environment, you will have to sync the file to the other agents in the cluster, you can do that with the following procedure: https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Advanced_Functionality/DataMiner_Systems/DMS_maintenance_tools/Synchronizing_data_between_DataMiner_Agents.html#forcing-synchronization-of-a-file-with-the-dms
Hi Paul,
You can do this in the System Center of Cube as shown in below image.
In case the Agent on which you execute this is part of a DMS, the file will get synchronized in the DMS.
The documentation has been updated to make this more clear: https://github.com/SkylineCommunications/dataminer-docs/pull/1550/files
