Hi,
When importing user accounts from Active Directory into DataMiner, is it possible to retrieve and display (in Cube) additional account attributes or custom user fields defined in AD?
We have a specific use case where certain users each have a unique alias (an identifier associated with the user at the AD level). This alias is important because it is expected by an external ticketing system to identify which DataMiner user created a given ticket.
An alternative would be to manually map each user to their alias at the element level, but ideally, we’d prefer a solution that allows the alias to be resolved directly from the DataMiner user profile to minimize long-term maintenance effort.
Thanks in advance,
Hi Ciprian
I'm no expert in configuring the AD within Dataminer, but have you checked the following page? Configuring LDAP Settings - DM Docs
It appears you can link AD fields on user level and on group level, which seems to be what you need.
I found this via https://community.dataminer.services/question/telephone-number-in-active-directory-users/ and https://community.dataminer.services/question/pair-displayname-active-directory-attribute-to-full-name-field-in-dataminer/
