Dear DataMiner Community,
Can you please provide an example how to calculate average value of a parameter in the Dashboard app for a dynamic timespan?
For example the Average value of "Tx Bitrate" for a specific "Index" of a specific "CISCO Manager" element for "Previous Month", with Timespan being dynamic using the "Time range" feed.
I was not able to achieve this.
Additionally, could the Min/Max/Avg value for selected time range be included in the "Line & Area Chart" component legend as is usual with other trending software.
Thank you.
Thanks, I was able to achieve the necessary after enabling “GenericInterface” Soft Launch Option.
Hi Martin,
In this case you will need to use the data source 'Get parameter by table ID'. This data source allows you query history data. Below an example using the Task Manager table from a Microsoft Platform element:
Update:
History option
Hope it helps.
Hi Miguel,
This looks great. Though, how do I apply the “Get history from table” query and/or the Time range filter? I can only use “Get table” query.
I’m missing this step. Or maybe it’s available only is some recent feature release?
Thank you.
Hi Martin,
Apologies for the delay.
Do you see the data source ‘Get Parameter table by ID’?
And if so, are you able to see the checkbox ‘History’ (see updated answer with an extra screenshot showing the checkbox)
Hi Miguel,
We’re on the main release track and I don’t see the History checkbox in 10.3.0.0-CU14 nor 10.4.0.0-CU4.
Thanks.
Hi Martin
The feature is already available since 10.2.0.
However I noticed that you need the ‘GenericInterface’ feature enabled (soft-launch option). More information about how to enable soft-launch options can be found in DataMiner Docs.
https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Reference/Soft-launch_options/Overview_of_Soft_Launch_Options.html#genericinterface
After restarting the DMA, don’t forget to restart IIS as well.
Hope it helps.
