Automation Script – Can’t save script if Dummy is associated with a DVE Element

I am attempting to configure a simple automation script to modify a mode setting on several elements using the protocol Evertz 7x00 General Platform - BPXRF.

These elements are DVE elements. When I add the required dummy entries and select Save Script, the interface displays “Saving” and remains in that state indefinitely. After closing and reopening the client, it appears that the changes were not saved.

Has anyone encountered this behavior or is this a known issue?

Hi Joe,

Sorry to hear you ran into an issue. This definitely is not the expected behaviour. The screen gets stuck on "saving" it leads me to believe the message does not properly get forwarded from cube to the server, or the exception from the server does not end up back to cube. However I was unable to simulate this locally.

I would advise to reach out to our technical support to further investigate this. The following information will be helpful:

  1. A cube follow (started before clicking save): Docs
  2. A logcollector package taken during the save-screen: Docs
  3. Cube Debug info: Docs
