AMWA NMOS IS-05 protocol

Hi there,

I tried to create an element used IS-05 protocol both version 1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.2 to control singles. But it could not receive both sender and receiver lists and went to be timeout.(HTTP/1.1 200 OK  HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found).

I used a IS-04 RDS IP address and an correct port number. Btw, the element with the same IP address and port number used AMWA NMOS IS04 protocol is working well.

Could you give an advise about how to configure an IS-05 element correctly?

Hi Zheng,

As far as I understand it, the IP address you need to provide for the IS-05 connector should be the IP address of a specific device you want to control, and not the IP address of the IS-04 registry. So for IS-05 you need to create an element for every device you control, rather than a single central element as is the case for IS-04.

Can you confirm if the connector works when configuring it with the IP address of a device you want to control through IS-05?

Hi Reinout, thank you for the answer!
It can receive the sender and receiver data after changing to the device IP address.

I have a additional question, from the example use case. I learned that [we can use this IP matrix control surface, which supports source-destination switching with a click of a button.] in USE CASE DETAILS 2 paragraph. Do I need to get a extra connector for this feature?

Hi Zheng, I think this is a custom UI that was built in Visio for a specific use case at a customer, and not a feature that is available out of the box.

Hi Reinout, Thanks, I will try to built one refer to it.

Hi Zheng,

Which versions of the NMOS IS05 API are supported by your device?
I believe currently the protocol is using V1.0
