Alarmtemplate – Main / Backup state: information

Solved569 views26th January 2024alarmtemplate Service state

We have several device which join to main and backup input sources.

As this are floating inputs, for the SLA it doesn’t mind if the device joins the main or backup input.

But I want to know which device has joined the main and which te backup input.

At first I configured the backup input a a warning, but Operations doesn’t like the change of colour from green to blue.

Switched to backup (Alt.20:

None of the device switched to the backup (Alt.2) – filtered alarms:

Then I configured the backup state in the Alarm template to the “Info”.

but this reports only the switching to the backup state and not the actual state.

I can make an query, but that is not what I want.

Maybe anyone have solved something similar?

Regard,

Rob.

Hi Rob,

A possible solution could be to create two services: one for the main and one for the backup group. You can then dynamically include the devices based on the alt. config parameter.
