Alarm timing between monitor GUI and dataminer cube

The alarm timings between monitor GUI and dataminer cube are in-sync when accessing the DMA by its primary IP ... but the timings do not match if DMA is accessed thru a dedicated domain...

how to change the timing in the monitor GUI?

Hi Mark,

Are you accessing the monitoring app using a machine with the same time zone? The app automatically adapts the displayed times to the time zone of the user.

It is possible to overwrite this behavior and set a fixed time zone for all users using the clientsettings.

Since DataMiner 10.6.6, a user can also set its own custom time zone using the app settings.

the server is in the shelter on the rooftop and another connection inside the building

accessed by a common laptop over two sets of IP… shelter is private… and inside building is dedicated/adverstised

I suggest you try and configure a fixed time zone in the clientsettings file so that the web clients always use the same one. This should fix the problems you are experiencing.

Greetings I have retested this on our own system to simulate the issue on our customer … the behaviour is the same it is inherent to the dataminer… if accessed within remote desktop invironment … both alarm timings of the Monitor GUI and Dataminer Cube is the same … but if you minimize the remote desktop … open monitor on a url…the alarm timing is different from the timings indicated inside the remote desktop … but if you open the dataminer cube outside of the remote desktop … the timing is the same on the cube in the remote desktop … I think this is inherent to dataminer … kindly test it at your end.

Cube will always show the alarms in the time zone of the DMA server itself. The web apps however, adapt to the client time zone of the browser loading them (unless overwritten in the ways I mentioned in my answer). Is the time zone of the remote desktop different from the local one? This is the only way we can reproduce the behavior you are seeing on our own setups. If they are the same, I suggest to contact tech support (support@dataminer.services) so that we can look further in to the issue.
