Alarm Template Filter Inquiry

Hi,

I am trying to use filter in my alarm template, this is what my alarm table looks like.

Currently, filter only works if I use 'Alarm Description' values. But is there a way to let me filter using 'Alarm Index' values?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi Charlene,

This is expected behavior. I understand the alarm template filter parameter uses the 'Display Key' exclusively. In your case checking the connector, the Alarm Description is indeed set as such.

Please share if you have a specific use case which requires the use of filtering by the index. It's possible that we can suggest an alternate way of achieving the same result.

Looking closer at the Connector, there are some rows where the Alarm Description is not unique. This is grounds to update the connector with a new display key. Typically in these cases, we will concatenate the index and the alarm description.

I'll reach out to you directly with the details of this works.

Hi Jason,
I believe a possible workaround, although not ideal, it is to use conditional monitoring. You could disable monitoring on specific rows based on instance.
Hope it helps.
