Hi Dojo,
Could you please explain why the end-user is experiencing this?
On the DMA s-k5bem-p (ID 33410) we have the following elements.
End-user search by element name and find alarms of the past week for 3 of the 5 elements
Result (statistics view)
If I search by Dataminer agent instead
Result is only one element
However, if I search s-k2bem-p (DMA id 33409) as above I will find the timeouts from hael-1-A-dttvbt and klge-1-A-dttvbt
Why is that?
As you may notice by the element id’s, some elements has been migrated (long ago). The element id of hael-1-A-dttvbt and klge-3-A-dttvbt indicate that they were created on s-k2bem-p (33409)
hjs-1-A-dttvbt were created on s-k5bem-p (33413). Not sure if this has any relevance or just a coincidence.
The alarm id of all 3 elements all begin with 33413 which is correct.
--->I'm guessing that the way the filter works is that it is using the DMA ID and not the actual name ofthe DMA to find the elements.
Hi Melissa,
The filter uses indeed the DMA ID to filter the alarms and not the name. If you want to use the name of the DMA (instead of the ID), it is better to use "Matches wildcard" instead of "Equal to". Your filter would look like :
