Hello!
we have three different systems in our DMS, each of them with a few equipments, categorized in a tree structure. When an alarm occurs on one equipment , there is no label to distinguish to which system it belongs to. Is it possible to do group or add a Group-ID to identify in the alarm console, to which system belongs the alarmed equipment?
Thanks
In addition to Simon's answer, you can use Automatic Incident Tracking to automatically group alarms in the alarm console based on what DataMiner detects as the most relevant reason these alarms are there. If you configure the custom element property or the views as Simon suggested, it will group the alarms on view or custom element property if multiple alarms on one of your three systems at the same time.
Note that for these features you will need DataMiner 10.1.2 (for view grouping) or 10.1.4 (for custom alarm property grouping).
Hi Francisco,
If I understand what you want to do correctly, I think this is a use case for custom element properties. You can add properties to all elements that belond to a certain 'system' in your DMS and make these available in the alarm console:
Thanks Simon! With the first answer was the problem already resolved. I have tested also your another suggestion and it is also good. Thanks a lot!
That’s just one idea, another is if all your elements from each system are in specific views with a name relating to that system, you can just add the ‘views’ column to your alarm console.
