Agent alias in system center

If the ‘Name’ field is changed in System Center > Agents > Manage, will this simply update the name/alias and not change any of the agent settings?

You actually have the choice when clicking apply. Either it’s only changing the alias, or either it’s effectively changing the name of the server also requiring a reboot.

I remember I saw a similar question in the past:
System Name change

This name is used to generate reports.
