Hi Dojo
I have recently been complaining about very slow access to dataminer.service.
Perhaps it is connected to Azure in the Netherlands region, but will it ever be replicated in another region in the future?
It is very slow to download new software versions, and the slow response time of each web page makes browsing catalogs stressful.
Hi Yuki,
To be a bit more specific, which sub website of dataminer.services are you talking about? Is it our community website Dojo and the downloads on there?
Can you check if e.g. the website Catalog (dataminer.services) is responding better to e.g. searches and is loading pages faster?
We indeed host most websites in West EU, but I'm not sure if the latency is the real problem here... It might also be related to the Dojo website getting slower because we're running low on resources and we need to scale up. And a long time ago we also had issues with downloads but I believe that was related to the Web Application Firewall. So the more details we can get, the better we can try to pinpoint the actual root cause.
PS: Where are you based? Which country?
Bert
ok, thanks for the feedback. We’ll see if we can do some testing in order to further pinpoint the problem. Checksum error should not happen, even if the latency is e.g.100 ms. Something else might be going on… Thanks for reporting this issue!
Hi Bert
Overall, the website response time is poor.
I don’t think the website is that complicated, but I have to wait a few seconds each time I transition pages.
Many deployments from the catalog fail.
This happens to many about us and the customers we have.
Sometimes they recover after a time, sometimes they continue to fail all day.
Most error logs are checksum errors so the files seem to get corrupted in transit.
Downloading new versions of Dataminer and installation files is slow.
Normally, the download speed is about 3 Mbps, but when it is slow, it is only a few Kbps and sometimes fails in the middle of the download.
The cloud connection is disconnected.
It seems that sometimes only the session is disconnected or the connection is disconnected in the first place.
The connection source is Japan.
