Hi Skyline teams,
Please tell me how the behavior of DataMiner when it is clustered as shown in the figure.
When a communication breakdown occurs between the Primary DataMiner and the Secondary DataMiner:
(1) where can we find out this status on the Primary DataMiner?
(2) How will the elements registered in the secondary DataMiner be displayed in the primary DataMiner? Will all elements registered in the secondary DataMiner be displayed as timed out? Or will those elements disappear from the tree view?
Best regards
Hi Hideaki,
If I understand correctly, your cluster contains two failover pairs (both failover pairs in a DataMiner cluster).
(1) where can we find out this status on the Primary DataMiner?
In System Center -> Agents you will find an indication that the DMA is disconnected.
A pop-up in Cube will be displayed indicating that there was a connection lost with the DMA.
In the alarm console (information events) you will also find an event indicating a lost connection with the DMA.
(2) How will the elements registered in the secondary DataMiner be displayed in the primary DataMiner? Will all elements registered in the secondary DataMiner be displayed as timed out? Or will those elements disappear from the tree view?
The element hosted in the secondary DMA will show a circle containing a horizontal line. As mentioned in DataMiner Docs: Though the information on the item is still available in the cache, it is not possible to execute any actions on the item.
Hope it helps.
Thank you for your explanation. It's solved.
