It is designed to support a true DevOps-style operation, and with the proper knowledge and expertise, the flexibility of the platform can be leveraged to generate continuously increasing return (increased operational efficiency, increased QoS, hardened security, engineering of new service offerings, etc.)

The DataMiner certification program offers a broad range of certification services that enable people in all types of roles, ranging from entry level to advanced knowledge, to get the maximum out of a DataMiner System.

On DataMiner Dojo, you can find a range of certification programs that can help you obtain your certificate of expertise in a specific domain.

The available options to prepare for certification include:

• All free resources available on DataMiner Dojo (blog posts, self-paced online training, articles, …)
• Open training sessions (paid per user per day)
• Incompany training sessions (paid per session)
• Online Training Consultancy (paid per hour)

The certification service does not include any training or consultancy services. It is not mandatory to follow training, but you should ensure that you are properly prepared for the certification.

All training videos from Skyline are available free of charge on DataMiner Dojo (in the Learning section). The advantage of the online training is that you can prepare at your own pace.

A certificate of expertise attests your effective knowledge and expertise in a specific domain related to DataMiner.This type of certification enhances your professional visibility and the opportunities for growth of your company. It is a great way to show your DataMiner expertise to the world. To acquire this type of certificate, you must pass the associated certification program, which typically consists of a series of hands-on exercises, verbal and written examinations, and a thorough final evaluation.

The main pages and the blog on the community website are publicly accessible. However, to access the full training library and certification tracks, you need to create an account using your corporate email address. If you already have a DCP account, you need to use the email address that is linked to your existing DCP account.

On the certification page, you can get in touch with the Sales team. You have two different options to order your certificate of expertise:

• You can order directly if you already have received a PO number from your purchasing department. Refer to the correct PO number in the form.
• You can request an official quote by completing the contact form.

In both cases, our Sales team will get in touch with you to finalize the purchasing process. Once the purchasing process is complete, our Dojo learning team will send you a confirmation email with information on how to start your certification process.

During the intake session, you will be introduced to your examiner, who will brief you on the certification process and provide you with all practical details.

Over the course of the certification process, you will have to complete various hands-on, performance-based assignments, which will be evaluated by the examiner on an individual basis during online sessions.

When you have completed the certification process, your examiner will share the results of the certification process during a final debriefing session.

As the certification process is an individual process, the duration can vary within a time-window of 6 months. Some assignments may not necessarily be time-bound. The overall duration of the certification can depend on the pace at which you finish your assignments.

The assignments are hands-on and performance-based. This means that you need to successfully complete tasks on a lab test system or an online DataMiner certification platform provided by Skyline.

Your knowledge will be tested through different types of assignments, which can vary, based on the type of certification. Your examiner will have the liberty to further complement the track with additional assignments as they see fit, in order to guarantee that you are properly qualified for the relevant subject matter.

Typical assignment formats include:

• Online questionnaires, optionally time-boxed
• Hands-on assignments
• Online one-on-one verbal examinations
• Online one-on-one hands-on demos

If you need to cancel or reschedule a one-on-one meeting with your examiner, you must update your appointment via the booking page of your examiner at least 24 hours before the start of it.

Your certification purchase is not refundable.

DataMiner certification purchases remain valid for a period of 3 to 6 months. This means that you need to finalize the certification process within this timeframe after the start of the certification process. The exact validity of the certification process is always communicated at the start of the process.

After a positive evaluation by your examiner, your certificate will be issued by means of an electronic badge. You can easily share this badge on social media, in email signatures, on online forums, and more.

The DataMiner Fundamentals certification does not expire. All other certificates are valid for a period of three or five years. Renewal certifications are available, focusing on updates over the past years.

The validity of certificates can be verified online by anybody.

Prior to the expiration of your certificate, you will receive an email notification with information on how you can renew your certification. To renew your certification, you will need to take and pass any of the available DataMiner certification exams focusing on updates over the past years. Once you have received your passing grade, you will receive your renewed certificate.

All you need is a stable broadband internet connection, an internet browser, a webcam and a microphone. The examiner will invite you to perform the verbal exam via Microsoft Teams. You can also use this tool if you don’t have a license.

The hands-on assignments will be executed on an online-accessible DataMiner certification platform. The examiner will grant you access as part of the certification process. Depending on the type of certification, extra software may be required (e.g. Microsoft Visio). Specific instructions will be sent by the examiner.

An exam usually consists of different phases (offline assignments, verbal exam, live assignments, etc.). Your voucher allows you two attempts for each phase of the exam process that was defined during the kick-off meeting with your examiner.

If you fail for your first attempt to pass a particular phase of the exam, you can try again as soon as you want. There is no waiting period between the first and the second attempt. However, if you fail the second attempt as well, you will need to pay the full certification price in order to schedule a new exam.
