Is there any way to render a graphical representation of the service? - something in the style of what is done in visio easy to create/modify (it could be also visio but should be generated automaticluy).
When a service is containing 5 elements, the elements should be visible along with statuses and connections
Hi Piotr,
To my knowledge, there is no way to automatically generate a visual overview (Visio diagram) assigned to any service with the specifications in your question.
However, you can use a service template to assign a predesigned Visio diagram to show the components and connections. Because the elements in a service can have aliases, you can compose a generic Visio to refer to the different components. More information here
Hi Piotr, if the links between the elements are defined in the DataMiner Connectivity Framework it is possible to draw the links based on that. The elements could be automatically added and positioned in your drawing by using dynamic shape positioning, but this requires a properties on the elements containing the desired positions. You can also check out the dynamic positioning and DataMiner Connectivity Framework courses in the DataMiner Dojo learning section.
