Hi all,

We have created a Low-code application in two different DMS and the whole application is only linked to 1 EPM element in each one.

Is it possible that if we need to create the app in other 3 different DMS, only copy or export & import and then change the element linked to it?

Hi Edson,

There currently is no official procedure to move an app from one DMS to another.

It can be done by copying the entire folder from C:\Skyline Dataminer\Applications to the destination DMA (and syncing the folder in the DMS).

Keep it mind the following:

  • The application name and ID needs to be unique on the DMS.
  • Any references to existing objects in DataMiner need to be moved manually (e.g. scripts).
  • Note that other references are sometimes made by ID which will be different on the destination DMS. These references need to be change manually in the JSON or by reconfiguring the application.

This would be a great feature to add to software. Is Import/Export on the roadmap for DataMiner?
