DMA Redundancy Status

We are running an older version of DataMiner which is configured for redundancy.

We can see that when we hover over the icons which dma is set as main & backup. Can you advise:

  1. If it is possible to take these messages and have them converted as alarms so that we can be proactive to see why it has failed over?
  2. Get the message information to be presented in a view/visio of the dma’s to see which is main & backup at a glance rather than hovering over the icons?

Hi Simon,

I believe you’ll need to use a protocol to get the failover KPIs in an element.
Once you have this information available in an element, you could use the default alarming and visual overview features to achieve what you want.

Checking the catalog, I think this protocol should already do what you want.
