Hi Support,

We recently migrated the dataminer environment from a physical to a virtual server. Getting this error.

Hi King,

DataMiner licensing is based on your hardware, so that means you’ll have to request a new license by contacting dataminer.licensing@skyline.be.

Thanks Wouter.

What is the license based on? MAC address, volume id, CPU count?

Bert Vandenberghe [SLC] [DevOps Enabler] commented 22nd March 2022

Hi King,
It depends on the type of license you have, in this scenario, it’s best to email the ‘request.lic’ file which you can find in the ‘C:Skyline DataMiner’ directory to dataminer.licensing@skyline.be. They will be able to further assist you.
