How to alarm on a Protocol Parameter when that parameter is present on a Service?

Hi,

I have a DVE that contains a "Link Status" Parameter.

I'd like to set an alarm template on the parent element that would create an alarm if the Link Status becomes "Unlinked" and that DVE is present inside a Service.

If the DVE is not present inside any service i don't want any alarm to be displayed regardless of the link status value

Hi David,

You can achieve this with the alarm conditions in the alarm template.

For a given parameter, you create a condition, where you select the same parameter and a service impact smaller than 1.

With this configuration, you will disable the alarm, if the service impact is smaller than 1.

(without setting alarm conditions i get the following alarms)

After setting the following Alarm Condition:

All my alarms are gone when i would expect to disable all alarms with value "unlinked" and Service Impact Equal to 0.

I did many variations on the "Service Impact" condition and couldn't get it right. I must be doing something wrong.
