Hi Dojo,

For some shapes I want to add some feedback for other developers so that they can easily see the intention of the shape.

My question is how far adding this kind of dummy shape data will make the system less performant?

That’s a great idea!
Would there be a quick way to add such a field on all the shapes in a shared Visio stencil?

This will mainly make a difference in parsing the Visio file and subsequently the loading time. However, the difference will likely be negligible compared to images and the complete visual description of a shape.

The impact of this will definitely be lower than for instance adding this text directly next to your visio page for instance.

In short, I think you can safely do this without fearing performance issues.

But of course, you can easily try for yourself 😉
