Hello Community,
you might help me with a solution for the following:
A customer is asking for an option to inform DataMiner operators about changes, e.g. when a super user or admin changes a alarm template or new custom features become available. An idea was to show a message on the Pulse home page, when Cube starts/has no cards opened or an e-mail is send to users from the system. Is there any such functionality available in DataMiner already?
Many thanks
Hi André,
When an administrator changes e.g. an alarmtemplate an information event will be created and send to Cube. It would look like this :
You could use these information events to trigger a correlation rule. In the actions you can pick "Send e-mail" and add all the users who needs to receive this e-mail. Don't forget to turn on the option "Accept information events".
A second option would be to create an alarmfilter for these information events and create an Alert for the group of users who needs to receive an e-mail. This can be configured in System Center.
Many thanks for the reply. I guess the information mail to the chosen receivers will then be based on the standard mail template as defined in DataMiner.
Is there also the option to "post" short messages to the operators in the news section on the Pulse homepage/welcome page in Cube?
Hi André,
The mail will indeed be based on the standard mail template.
Currently it is not possible to show short messages on the welcome Page in Cube. Is the chat functionality something you can use instead?
