Implementing AppArmor in an environment nodes database Cassandra and OpenSearch

Hi All.

Is it possible to implement AppArmor in an environment like ours nodes Cassandra and OpenSearch ?
Debian doesn't  use SELinux by default, only AppArmor.

SELinux can be installed and enabled on Debian, but it requires additional steps and testing.

AppArmor is better integrated with Debian, easier to manage, and less invasive.

On Debian, AppArmor is better and simpler to use (we have a per-service profile, lower risk of conflicts, easier to maintain).

Does anyone have any experience integrating AppArmor with Cassandra and OpenSearch nodes?

Many thanks for any information on this matter.

Br.

Hi,

Similar to your question on 'Windows Defender Exploit Guard', I don't know of any systems where this is applies and this is also not tested within Skyline.

That's why I would again recommend to start with running it in complain mode.

Kind regards,
