Element replication: which port has to be enabled if firewalls are present?

Hi Dojo - in case of element replication (DM 10.5 CU4) which ports need to be allowed through firewalls?

Additionally: is element replication supported across a DaaS (Azure) DMA and an on-prem DMA within 10.5 CU4?

Thanks

P.S. Found this trace from 2021 – is it still the case for DM 10.5 CU4 on-prem VS a DMS hosted in Azure (DaaS)?

Hi Alberto,

If you have GRPC enabled, only port 443 is sufficient. And I would also highly recommend using GRPC. This is default enabled since 10.5.10.

And you can also use this with a DaaS system or a cloud-connected DMA. No problem.

Regards,

Bert

Thanks Bert – do you know if the DaaS can be used also as source for replication in a DMS that has not been upgraded yet to gRPC?

E.G.
System A –> DaaS (with gRPC)
System B –> On-Prem (NO gRPC yet, internal cluster comms via 8004)

I might need to replicate from a newer system A onto an older one B

Is this supported? And which ports are needed?

Marking this as solved as I've seen another similar question - will add a new post for related follow-up - thanks
