I have a service definition that uses the same function twice (i.e. demodulating for primary and backup chains). Because the potential resources will have similar names (i.e. demo_1 and demo_2), I can't rely on just the name. I need to identify which one was selected on each chain.
I'm thinking of using a function's property in the service definition. I wonder if there is a way to have that property automatically filled up (either with the resource ID or the resource's element ID) to link each shape in the view, or any other alternative to achieve the same result.
You can use the "use node label as element alias" option (available as configuration on the booking manager).
In your visio you can then use the alias instead of the real resource name for linking.
