When you mention a resource/element, are you referring to a DVE that was created in an element because it’s linked with a Resource in Apps > Resources page?
If so, you should monitoring it by creating an SRM booking that will create a service and include it, otherwise that resource DVE may be deleted if you have other bookings in your system depending on reaching the limit of active function DVEs.
If not, just assigning an alarm template to that element is enough to have alarms on your alarm console for it. You can add it in a service as well if needed.
