Hello
We implemented the solution CISCO SD-WAN (Version 20.6.3) in some OBVan’s. The vManage have all relevant information for the SD-WAN service.
Is it possible to query the Cisco SD-WAN vManage over the vManage API? Is there already a driver available?
Kind regards
Stefan
Hi Stefan,
Yes, it is possible to query the Cisco SD-WAN vManage over the vManage API. Cisco SD-WAN vManage provides a REST API that can be used to programmatically interact with the vManage system. This API allows you to perform various operations, such as querying device information, configuring policies, and retrieving network statistics.
To use the vManage API, you need to authenticate to the vManage system and obtain an access token. Once you have the access token, you can use it to make REST API calls to the vManage system. The API endpoints are documented in the Cisco SD-WAN vManage API Reference Guide, which is available on the Cisco website.
Some examples of API calls you can make include:
- Retrieving the list of devices registered with vManage
- Querying device statistics such as CPU and memory usage
- Configuring network policies such as QoS and security rules
- Retrieving network performance metrics such as bandwidth utilization and packet loss
I checked our catalog and we do not yet have a Connector for the Cisco SD-WAN vManage. But providing the availability of the API, we are able to create such a Connector.
Hi Stacey. Thank you for this information. Yes, all important information is included in vManage. That makes it very interesting for us. We get in touch with Skyline commercial if we have a clearer picture what are the requirement is.
Kind regards
Stefan
