Appear X20 Platform – Transcoder
Appear
The Appear X20 Platform connector communicates, through HTTP, with the MMI and Firewall APIs to retrieve information and to configure the device.
USE CASE DETAILS
The “General” page of the connector shows the “Chassis Cards Table” with the available cards, similar to the web interface.
After the authentication step, the connector will retrieve the information from the cards in the chassis. You can also manually create DVEs for IP Switch, Dual IP and SDI IO cards connected to the slots of the device.
On the “Module Overview Config” page, you can find all the API versions for the different modules. For the Transcoder Module, 3 API versions are available.
The “Transcoder Services” page displays the available services. Each service has an assigned profile. The second service is empty and can have a video and/or audio profile assigned to it.
The “Multi Services” page shows all the information related to the different services. It is possible to edit the services settings, and to add or delete services.
To create a service from scratch, just click on the “Add Service” button: a pop-up window will appear where you can enter the necessary information.
The “Transcoder Profiles” page is related to the profiles that will be assigned to the services.
On the “Multi Stream Profiles” page, profiles can be edited in the same way as services. The “Multi Stream Profiles” table gives an overview of the profiles. The “Multi Stream Subservices” table displays the content of the video profiles. The last table, “Multi Stream Audio Profiles”, shows all the data related to audio profiles. All the profiles can be edited, and it is also possible to add new ones from scratch. When you delete a profile, all entries related to the video or audio will be also deleted.
Creating a profile from scratch is similar to creating a new service: just click on the “Add Profile” button and enter the information in the pop-up window.
This tree view was created to make it easier to observe the relationship and the dependencies between profiles.
