Workaround for sync error “is more then 20 MB”

46 views6 hours agoalarm storm notices Synchronization erros

Hi DOJO,

I have a Visio file that is bigger than 20 MB. During the midnight sync, the file fails to be synced across the cluster because it exceeds the 20 MB size limit, which generates an alarm. As a result, currently I have an alarm storm on the system due to these alarms.

Is there a way to allow this file to be synchronized despite exceeding the 20 MB limit, which would also prevent the synchronization error notifications for this specific file?

Kind regards,

Yes, the max size can be increased in the MaintenanceSettings.xml:

<MaintenanceSettings>
<Documents>
<MaxSize>20</MaxSize>
</Documents>
</MaintenanceSettings>

The size is in MB, but be carefull not to put it too high, because syncing very large files puts extra load on the system.

Hi Tom,
Thank you for the reply. Is there a way to change this setting, for example, via SLNet client test tool? I would like to avoid having to restart the DMA
