Which connectors are universally compatible across HP workstations?

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the connectors used in HP workstations.

Which connectors are considered universal and can be used across different HP workstation models?

If anyone has experience with HP workstation compatibility or can clarify which connectors are standardized across the lineup, I would really appreciate your insights.

Thank you!

Hi Chie,
Are you planning to monitor only the hardware, or also the operating system running on the workstations?

Chie Sugane commented 28th November 2025

Hi Miguel,

We are planning to monitor only the hardware of connectivity and port activity, and not OS level.

Hi Chie,

HP servers include ILO for hardware monitoring, by this feature is generally not available for workstations. As alternative, you could use either the Microsoft Platform or the Linux Platform connectors. Both connectors could monitor the operating system hosted in the workstations.

Hope it helps.
