What needs to be configured to get the “HP parameters” to be filled in in the microsoft platform?

Using the microsoft platform driver, I'm monitoring a HP server, however when enabling the HP Polling these parameters aren't filled in and the element goes into timeout.

Is there anything else I need to do or configure on the element or the HP Server itself?

Hi Tim,

Please check the answer to this question that is also valid for the Microsoft Platform:
Linux Platform – HP Parameters

Microsoft and Linux Platform connectors implement SNMP OIDs that are exposed by HP ILO. Depending on how you configure the HP ILO SNMP agent (either Agentless management or SNMP Pass-thru), you will either use:

  • The IP address assigned to the HP ILO interface (Agentless Management), or
  • The IP address of the host operating system (SNMP Pass-Thru).

In the first case, the IP address configured in the element's SNMP connection is the IP address assigned to the HP ILO interface.

In the second case, the IP address configured in the element's SNMP connection is the same IP address used to poll the operating system (via WMI).

Hope it helps.
