What is the use case of the Half-open RTEs?

Hi All,

RTEs occur when a DataMiner process thread does not respond for 15 minutes. Half-open RTEs occur after 7.5 minutes. I am curious about the use case of the Half-open RTEs. Does anyone know why we have the Half-open RTEs?

Hi Jason,

As far as I'm aware it's intended to simply be an early indication that something might be wrong in a thread in the process, signaled half way through the full response timeout threshold. Nothing more.
