What is the best approach for automatic management of data sources within your DataMiner System?

I can identify 2 different scenarios for which I wonder what the best practice approach would look like:

  1. I'm at the start of deploying a new DataMiner System and would like to automate the provisioning of monitored data sources (elements) in the DMS.
  2. I'm running an operational DataMiner System and have a dynamic landscape where the list of to be monitored data sources (elements) changes on a near-daily basis.
