What does RTE for SLDMS – DATAMINER_NOTIFICATION_QUEUE Thread mean?

Hi Dojo,

I noticed a couple agents in a DMS had the following half open RTE:

  • 2026-09-23 00:45:02         15104|HALFOPEN RTE: - (1) Not signaled 1 (since 2026-09-23 00:00:01): SLDMS - DATAMINER_NOTIFICATION_QUEUE Thread [pid 13712 - thread 14468] in Process: SLDMS for Thread: DATAMINER_NOTIFICATION_QUEUE Thread notificationID created: 4085

They were cleared by themselves a few minutes later and most of the relevant log files are overwritten, so I couldn't further investigate.

Can anyone help me understand this RTE better and what it can mean?

Hi Caio,

An SLDMS NotificationThread RTE means that SLDMS could not process a notification, often sent by SLNet for operations such as file synchronization, within the expected time. This can occur when processing takes longer than expected, 7 minutes and 30 seconds for a half open RTEs or 15 minutes for a full open RTE, or when the thread becomes deadlocked.
As a result, notifications may accumulate, potentially causing increased memory usage and degraded DataMiner performance.
