Visio question: Need help troubleshooting condition that involves negative numbers

Hi all, I need help with the following value for 'Show' shape data:

<A>-A|Element:[cardvar:ElementVar]|2003:myIDXvalue|<=-80

(Q1) It does not seem to work for -ve numbers. I swapped '-80' to '0' and the 'Show' feature works fine. Please help advice what I may be doing wrong here.

Being stuck, I tried to workaround the condition based upon value but alarm state. However I'm unable to find the syntax that allows me to show based upon parameter alarm level.

(Q2) Can we based the condition on the alarm level of a parameter?

Hi Bing,

The hyphen '-' is used as a separator between multiple conditions (which you don't have). Still the evaluation is being made in the software and therefore your evaluated value is not recognized. I suggest applying a separator and re-evaluate.

To my knowledge, I don't think it possible to evaluate the severity of a parameter in a Show condition unfortunately.

Kind Regards,

Jarno

Yes, you're right. Changing the separator made the Show/hide work.

Thanks for commenting on the possibility of evaluating severity of parameter.
