I'm making an visio to control an element which has an table with different options, i want to create an subpage for certain of these options. it;s based on a setup, with an hardware and software version. since there can be multiple combinations i have a main page that list the children from that table. I then set an session var based on: parameter.parameter2.parameter3

I then created an new page in the visio file with the same name. I then added an shape with the following shape data:

This works if the session variable is set to an page that does exist. If the page isn't created yet it won't show anything (to be expected in certain extend) however when i go back to the combination that does exist the page isn't shown again.
