Hello,
I have been wondering whilst working on a new visio, what order from the visio drawing does cube render the diagramn shapes, i.e. does it use their order in the diagram navigation or does it evaluate all and then decide?
From a visio creation point of view, I have some child shape generation (for example) and I would like one set of child shapes to start drawing before the second and this got me to questioning how that process or deciding what to render in what order happens - but even beyond that, sometimes there are shapes that I would like to see first as they show more important information and if it is possible to manipulate this order of shapes being shown that would be a small but useful thing that I could change in my diagrams.
Many thanks
Oliver
Hi Oliver,
For Visio files in Cube, we first render the unlinked shapes all together. Then, in general, we respect the layering you apply in Visio for the linked shapes. So if you put a shape to the front or back, it will change in rendering order in Cube as well. Some shapes can be pushed further down the line in case they have dynamic placeholders.
Is that in line with your observations?
This is perfect, thank you for the info
Cheers
Oliver
