Hi all,
After upgrading to 10.4.9, which appears to have completed successfully, I encountered the following notice:
'RegisterDLLs.bat' Process did not exit within 60 seconds
Upon reviewing the progress log, this message appeared during the following action:
step|Step 24/33: Register
Will re-register service SLASPConnection (Now x64; Previous path: "C:\Skyline DataMiner\Files\SLASPConnection.exe")
Unregistered service 'SLASPConnection'
Sleeping 5 seconds to allow unregister to complete

Unregistered server 'SLProtocol'

Registered server 'SLProtocol' (x64)

Sleeping 5 seconds to allow unregister to complete
Registered server 'SLSNMPManager' (x64)
Registered server 'SLPort'
DLL registration started
'RegisterDLLs.bat' Process did not exit within 60 seconds
The system does not appear to be impacted in any noticeable way. However, what does this mean and how could it impact the system?
Hi Catarina,
As mentioned in Actions that can be performed during an upgrade operation | DataMiner Docs, when you upgrade DataMiner usually removes all the services and the dlls in the older version so it can re-install them for the newer version you upgraded DataMiner to.
When it re-installs or re-registers them, the above .bat file is ran. Normally we expect the re-registering process to complete within a minute but the above notice simply says the process took more than a minute to register all the dll's.
Normally, there isn't any impact to the DMA due to this which is why it is a notice and not an error.
