Hi,
simple question. Is it possible to turn off the standard alarm sound in Cube?
Thanks
Hi Peter - assuming that you have sound because of the Audible Alert option, here's how to enable / disable that. The option can be accessed from the hamburger button on the top left of the Alarm Console. Note that this is done for the tab page that you have currently open (so you may have to check this option across the various tab pages that you have open).

Note that there is also a Text to Speech option (accessible via the same hamburger menu) - but I assume that's not the one that you are hearing.
Hi Peter – I had to check as I wasn't sure now what could cause this. But I found that if I enable in the hamburger menu of the Alarm Console the "show in banner" option (which displays a notification in the header of Cube for new alarms) I indeed do get that Windows sound. Can you check if that Administrator user who has the sounds has that specific option enabled?
Hi Ben, thanks a lot, that's it. Just out of interest, is there an option to show the alarm in the banner but don't get a sound?
Hi Peter – glad to hear that we found the culprit. In all fairness, I was also kind of annoyed by the constant chime but unfortunately, I don't believe there is an option to disable that and just keep the visual banner. I'll flag it with the product owner here at Skyline, and maybe they can squeeze this in somewhere in one of the coming releases.
Hi Ben, thanks for your answer. Unfortunately it's not due to the audible alert option. This option is disabled on every tab from the alarm console. However, every time an alarm raises, the "standard windows notification" sound gets played. But there's a difference regarding the user which is used to log-on to the cube. With the built-in Administrator user, the sound comes up. Using another user to log-on (e.g. which is part of a group that has all rights), the sound doesn't come up.
