Trigger action by clicking on an item-free area in LCA Timeline component

Hi,

I’m trying to configure an LCA timeline component to enable highlighting item range and clearing the highlight.

Highlighting is achieved via executing the “Highlight Time Range” action, which is triggered on item click and configured in the item template.

However, I’ve noticed that while there is “Clear Highlights” action available, there doesn’t seem to be an appropriate event to trigger this action. While one solution could be adding a button, I believe this approach may not offer the best user experience. Ideally, I think this action should be activated by clicking on an area of the timeline that doesn’t contain any items.

Is there currently a way to clear highlights in a time range component by clicking on an item-free area of the timeline?

Hi Enver

There is currently no way to implement this exact behavior in a LCA. If this is a feature you are really interested in, you can create a feature suggestion.
