Trending graph in Visio with Enhanced Service ID as variable

Hi Team 🙂

Found an unusual anomoly today (thanks to Hugo for troubleshooting) - we have got a child page which takes a session variable from a master service (which is running an enhanced service protocol). The session variable is the DataMiner Service ID (though I've tried it with the name as well), and we can use this to find a parameter in the enhanced service, and then use this to filter a table for another parameter on a different element (that the visio is linked to):

This works fine for a parameter, but for a Trend Graph, the same behaviour fails:

We have found that the way to solve this is by using the serviceElement ID (the hidden one), and this works for both Parameter and Parameters. Is it possible to either standardise this, or will it at least be forward-compatible? We are on 9.6.1839.106 if anyone's wondering.

Thanks all

Thomas

Conversion from a service ID to its hidden element ID is not done in the trending graph component. The best thing would be to contact your Technical Account Manager and request a new feature task. We will then do the automatic conversion in the future.

Thanks Toon 🙂
I think it would be helpful, but is hardly high priority - we can discuss it with our TAM, and will see whether it might be picked up.
Thanks!

Thomas
