Transition from the Cisco DCM driver to the Synamedia Virtual DCM

Hello community,
We are currently transitioning to the Synamedia driver. We are looking for what corresponds to the "Active Input" parameter on the Cisco DCM driver, in the Synamedia driver. If anyone has also made the transition between these two drivers, could they point me to the table and column where it can be found?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Didier

Could it be that you are looking for the Active Backup TS column in the Synamedia Virtual DCM connector? This column is available in the following tables

  • Sources SRT Settings TS Backup (Sources SRT Settings page)
  • Sources Zixi Settings TS Backup (Sources Zixi Settings page)
  • Sources Xgress Settings TS Backup (Sources Xgress Settings page)

These Sources ... Settings pages are subpages of the Sources page (Sources = Input Transport Streams).

Edit: If the Active Backup TS column shows 0, it means that the main transport stream is active. If the number is in the range 1 - 7, it means that the backup transport stream with index 1 - 7 is active. Example: an Active Backup TS of 2 means that the backup transport stream with index 2 is active. The backup transport streams are available in the tables

  • Sources SRT Settings Backup TSs
  • Sources Zixi Settings Backup TSs
  • Sources Xgress Settings Backup TSs

Kind regards

Hi Michiel,

I work with Didier. We have both seen these columns but we are looking to know how to interpret the values because with the Cisco connector, we have the choice between "Main TS" and "Backup" and in the Synamedia connector we see only "0".

We need to interpret "Main TS" = 0 and possibly "Backup" = 1 for example ?

Kind regards

Hi Damien. You are right. 0 means that the main transport stream is active. If the number is in the range 1 – 7, it means that the backup transport stream with index 1 – 7 is active. Example: an Active Backup TS of 2 means that the backup transport stream with index 2 is active. The backup transport streams are available in the tables Sources SRT Settings Backup TSs, Sources Zixi Settings Backup TSs and Sources Xgress Settings Backup TSs. The answer was updated with this information. Kind regards
