Hi,
A lot of the time I work through a problem before posting a question on here, so end up finding a work around, or the solution without posting a question, but might be useful for others.
Is Skyline looking at anything beyond this question section where people can share their experience like this?
Hi Philip,
Ian gave some nice suggestions. Next to that, a lot of things are going around in our Community. we are deploying a lot of new solutions & applications. Our developers are also actively developing numerous connectors, integrating multiple devices and service integrations. We highly believe in agile project management, and deliver software products faster, keeping time and budget in mind along with the project scope and accompanying requirement changes. For this, we created so-called Expert Hubs where people with the same interest can join interactive discussions, demos, brainstorming sessions, and much more. We have Expert Hubs for:
- Deploying Solutions
- Connectors and Scripts
- Agile Project Management
- Integrated Operations
For the time being, this is still happening with my fellow colleagues, but we are eagerly looking to make this public. The idea would be to empower people and get empowered ourselves by great contributors like you ;).
Kind Regards,
Jarno
I’m looking forward to dig into Expert Hubs.
Hi Philip,
We are actively encouraging our members to contribute to our Dojo platform in multiple ways. One of those you mention is asking questions to the community.
However, it is also possible to contribute to the community in the following ways:
- Create a blog
- Add a use case
- Contribute to our DataMiner documentation.
May I encourage you to sign up to our DataMiner DevOps Professional program (its free)
https://skyline.be/dataminer-devops-professional
https://community.dataminer.services/dataminer-devops-professional-program
The link above links shows how you can contribute to our community in different ways. NOTE: Your contributions will be recognised by means of reward for you as a person and the organisation you have signed up with.
I would be happy to run you through the above examples if you want to touch base 1-2-1.
Thanks Ian,
I will get in touch on those.
Those cover solutions, though I feel something more fluid for code discussions would be useful, which when either a full solution or fix is available for documentation and/or a blog could get created for.
Thanks Jarno,
I would be very interest to get involved when they’re opened up.
