Threshold not available on parameter with dependency

Solved980 views3rd March 2023alarm template dependency driver parameter threshold

Hi Dojo,

I have a driver with a dependency declared in a parameter with monitored as true, to take the discretees from other parameter, but I can't type any threshold in alarm template. Parameter with discretees hasn't enabled monitored. Anyhow, DataMiner detects alarms without introduce any threshold value (string):

Both parameters are configured as:

<RawType>other</RawType>
<Type>string</Type>

Why can I not define the thresholds in alarm template?

Hi Daniel,

Does the solution in post Unable to set alarm values for a parameter with the ‘DependencyId’ attribute solves it? Your read parameter needs to have Measurement Type string defined.
